I drove back from Chico, CA this morning and had to stop at Julia's Fruit Stand in Los Molinos. It was the display of pumpkins in front of her stand that had me think about 3 times "should I?" and then turn around and go back. I had an idea to stack the pumpkins and squash to make a pair of topiary in front of the Cottage. They didn't have 2 of everything so Julia called her pickers and had them pick what I needed out of the field while I waited! They are picking them almost a month early this year.
